Shell Theme...done by my darling munchkin @ abang baju merah

This set of birthay cake is specially done for my dearest Sis Aminah yang memang dah i anggap macam kakak i sendiri...she had done a lot for me...bagi semangat, backing me up, bagi opportunity..terlalu banyak jasa dia dengan I..hanya Allah yang dapat membalasnya..Thank you sis...

Well, back to the cake, actually it was late already...her birthday dah lama berlalu but I memang nak buat something special..so I came up with this idea...she was offered by shell to open a petrol kiosk and I was so happy for her..so terus got so excited nak buat theme Shell ni....unfortunately, I had a last minute request from my dearest satff..Lela @ miss last minute...so kena minta bantuan munchkin I...my darling hubby to buatkan figurine trailer tu and the shell logo...he..he..he..kak june mesti senyum bangga dengan hasil kerja tangan cik abang baju merah.

My munchkin memang kerja nya berhalus sangat....and tak segan nak ngaku...dia lebih halus and teliti dari I...kah..kah..kah..that's the fact. U all sendiri boleh menilai kerja cik abang I...

fairyland cake

Yup! another cake for Lela...and last minute order lagi...biasa le dia...so I came up with this fairyland/wonderland theme...sebenarnya semuanya apa yang I belajor dari Kak June (cupcakekasih)..except ada yang I tambah....actually buat figurine tak lah susah sangat...you just need imagination and everything starts from there....betul tak Kak June?

Baby wilton...and I'm so happy

This cake untuk baby staff I, Lela..she is my regular customer but normally memang pening dengan dia coz normally dia bagi last minit punya order...so this wilton babies I buat on short notice...two babies sebab satu untuk anak dia and satu lagi untuk anak cousin dia.....ha..ha..ha...my father was impressed with my work but at the same time dia cakap..nanti baby tu minta nyawa kat I macam mana....oh dear abah...his statement buat i terkedu...

Tottenham Hotspurs....

An orange butter cake requested by Aunt Theresa....for the third time for her darling hubby's 50th bday....she gave me the freedom to decide..and the best thing is her family does not eat buttercream / icing so had to go with white chocolate topping yang diwarnakan dgn warna hijau..I ada green choc tapi mint flavor which i rasa tak kena dgn rasa orange...

They were so happy with the cake but of course not their son...who is an MMU fan...sorry dear..next time maybe...happy birthday uncle...50 is just a number...

Thumbellina....being bullied by my own niece...sweet Kamilia

Bagai tak percaya my customer was so demanding and for the whole day I had to decorate this cake with her being the "bossy director" sitting next to me..and this bossy director was my own 3 years old niece...Kamilia or Kemi...

She was on her monthly balik kampung trip and she was thrilled when I did the clown cake...and kebetulan my adik ipar's bday was in May...another reason to bake a cake and decorate too....so I decided to bake a cake for her father...she requested a Thumbellina cake...the funny thing is...dia ni pelat and a little bit gagap. So dia ambil masa untuk bagi instruction kat I..her first instruction was to do the thumbellina figure...which was out of shaped...punyalah kecoh...semua colour kena match dengan the real Thumbellina...baju mesti ada small flower, kasut kena warna pink..and when I was about to silangkan kaki Thumbellina.....dia kata..."tak ole...ka..ka..ka...ki ia kena lu..lu..lu..lu..rus..tak..tak...tak..ole mcm tu..." so kena le I tukar position kaki tu...





bila siap Thumbellina..she requested me to do a baby in a flower pod..mcm baby dalam cerita Thumbellina..Actually this was the second cake after the clown cake..so I was really tired...so I told her...susah le nak buat baby tu....nak mengelak le ni..but dia terus jawab..."I..i...i..i...bu kan pandai..ce..ce..ce...nang aje...wat mcm ni..wat ..mcm tu...ja...ja.di le..." sambil tangannya menguli fondant I...so kena le buat walaupun dah penat...sebab tu if tenguk dgn teliti kasar sgt baby tu...nak cepat and penat dah....kena buli dgn budak kecik.....she did not move a little bit..sampai dia cakap..."Eiiii...sa.sa..sa..ya anyak ...a..kap ari ni...sa...sa..sa..ya penat le"...

Nasib baik dia kata tak payah buat sayap Thumbellina..phew...lega...finally after few hours we completed the cake...and she straight away doze off....well to my sweet niece...I really had fun with "working" under her bossy instructions...love you dear..

Bunga emas

This bunga emas is hantaran set yang ditempah oleh one of my brother in MMU....a gift of love to his sister yang bertunang...very sweet of him..all the way from Seremban datang mengambil bunga emas ini....

Masa dia order bunga emas ni, semuanya boleh...padahal lepas tu trus sms my dear sifu..kak june from cupcakekasih...mcm mana nak dapat gold colour..kata kak june..just guna gold dust...biar bunga kering dulu, sapu dgn lemon juice and at the same time sapukan gold dust...tqvm kak...so this is the first fondant set of hantaran.

Superhero cake

A superhero cake requested by one of my hubby's staff. Actually she requested a cake for her father...masa dia cakap tu terus dapat idea nak buat superhero cake..but of course the superhero has to be the version of her father....we had a good laugh masa discuss about this...but then she still didn't know what she would get...eventhough dah dapat idea superhero tapi still tak lengkap lagi..so called her up and interview dia lagi...rupanya bapa dia kontraktor pembersih bangunan, so tu yang terus imagine nak buat cleaning equipments...and buildings around the cake...



Masa deliver, berbagai perasaan...nervous, risau etc...of coursele..nak present pada staff hubby..kira nak jaga nama hubby juga le...alhamdulillah she was so happy and thrill with the cake...

My first.....

My first buttercream class dengan Sammy...Tan See Fong's wife...masa register class, I was told this class untuk beginners..but bila masuk, semuanya pendekar-pendekar. I dgn cik abang I terkial2 dengan buttercream, org lain dah siap dgn hiasan mereka. Sedih sgt waktu tu, ada pula yg tunjuk muka "eiiiwww" kat kami berdua, maklumle nak sapukan krim pd kek pun terkial2 but kami jadikan ia sebagai pembakar semangat untuk terus menekan gear lebih tinggi lagi..bukan gear 2 or 3 tapi terus gear 10.



My first buttercream cake.....birthday cake for my brother...everything was done by me....cake ni saje aje untuk menenangkan dia....everybody in the family sure sedih when it comes to birthday...birthday without our darling mom memang very different...no birthday present...mak tak pernah lupa hadiah birthday untuk kami...but tak da lagi kami dapat doa panjang umur and warm birthday kisses from mak..

My very first fondant cake

This is the very first fondant cake yang i buat...tempahan by Aunty Theresa for her 22 wedding anniversary. This is her 2nd order and up till now I belum lagi dapat ketemu dgn this kind lady. Actually she ordered a moist choc cake and requested choc ganache topping, tapi tak sampai hati pulak. So I called her up and minta izin untuk present something very special for her 22nd anniversary.....wow 22 tahun....nowadays susah sgt nak jumpa org yg dapat mempertahankan perkahwinan mereka. Apa yg sering kita dengar ialah mereka yg beria-ia buat persediaan majlis perkahwinan, siap dengan wedding planner (bayaran untuk planner pun kadang2 dapat buat deposit beli rumah baru) and bermacam2 "gadget perkahwinan" lagi..tup2 dengar2 dah bercerai...alasan yg paling favorite...tiada sefahaman..or I baru realize I'm not in love with her / him....oh pleaseeee...



So back to the cake...I just imagine something romantic and sweet for her and hubby...i terus teringat pada cik sifu I..sape lagi kalau bukan Kak June...terus terbayang a pair of swans gliding on the cake..a pink and white cake...hati ni berdebar juga coz aunty theresa's fav color is black...pagi2 lagi dah bangun nak start project...puas cari fondant yg diuli malam tadi...akhirnya jumpa juga...bibik ku sayang dah masukkan dlm peti sejuk....uwaaaaa !!! Dah le gula icing limited..so kena uli balik.....and stock yang ada baru dibeli mlm tadi and qualitynya tak berapa bagus...ni kes emergency le...

Lupa pula..swan dua ekor tu I dah buat 2 ari sebelumnya..and my advise pd sape2 yg nak buat swan...siapkan lehernya banyak2...sbab lehernya very fragile and senang patah...so if patah senang ganti.....ha..ha..ha to those yg berminat..i masih lagi ada beberapa batang leher swan... Soalan cepumas my daughter, kenapa leher swan jantan lebih pendek dari swan betina...and tunduk pulak tu...my answer was..sebab husband selalu ikut cakap isteri...kih..kih..kih...hopefully my darling munckin tak baca post ni....

Aunty Theresa was delighted towith the cake...she was really happy...her comment i keep it to myself..nanti takut org kata i perasan pulak..but all in all i was so happy with my first fondant cake...especially when aunty theresa said...she wanted a special birthday cake for her hubby...at the end of this month...thank you dear for your trust in my work....
