LARI!!!!!!!!!!!! MAMA MENGAMUK !

Salam to all....hopefully today will be a blessed day for all of us and alhamdulillah kita masih bernafas lagi..Well..me baru aje baik dari demam but dlm sibuk demam still had to finishkan beberapa tempahan n tugasan. Alhamdulillah semuanya telah dapat disempurnakan but too bad had to cancel my class with Kelvin Chua due to my health. This time I'm going to present a cake yg diminta khas oleh my friend Amalina...staff of Eon Bank Melaka...She said she wanted a cake yg menggambarkan keluarganya..she is a neat n tidy person...n she wanted the cake to gambarkan dia sedang marah.....her darling hubby dan 4 orng anak2nya...Ha..ha..ha..before i pergi lebih jauh lagi...all the characters hanya lah sekadar gurauan sahaja....and memannnnng ada kaitannya dgn Amalina...lol

Since I know Amalina's family..I tried my best to picture her family in my work...so come let us berkenalan dgn hubbynya....Mr Rosly yang gagah perkasa..


Orng lelaki biasalah....mereka lebih sabar dari kita...banyak kesabarannya bandingkan dgn kaum ibu...bila anak merengek waktu malam ..merekalah yg paling sabar....masih boleh tidur lagi walaupun anak sudah meraung...sabar sungguh mereka. He..he..he..bila isteri membebel pun mereka masih boleh sabar lagi dgn memekakkan telinga....or pura2 tidur...Ha..ha..ha..Encik rosly kita memang sabar....especially bila berada diatas jalanraya....dijamin tidak akan disaman oleh polis ....lol...ya ampun Cik Rosly ;)




Now..who is the little girl under the blankie with her cute little bear? Well this is Amalina's only daughter




Ada pula yg menyorok balik langsir.....ni kes takut kena rotan le ni..or kena membebel....ha..ha..ha...teringat pula i masa kecik2..if diberi pilihan antara rotan dgn bebelan my dearest mum...I prefered to kena rotan..kena rotan sakitnya sekejap sahaja...but if di leter..aduiiiii sakitnya sepanjang hari....kadang2 sampai malam...but honestly speaking..if now Allah beri peluang for me to hv my mum back..I won't mind to dengar leterannya walaupun tanpa henti...al-fatihah for mak tersayang... ;(



Yang dua orng ni pula...kelam kabut sembunyi belakang kerusi..mentang2 perisai besar ada...Ha..ha..ha..perisai besar pun sudah angkat bendera putih...sabar ajele Encik Rosly ye....lol ;P




And finally the heroine herself....Puan Amalina kita .but since this is a humor cake..so sorry she won't get the tidy n neat Amalina....ha..ha..ha...with her kain batik yg tidak terurus..n with rambut serabai....so sorry dear... ;). And of course she has an angry face...Actually in real life..she is a pretty petite lady..ini semua hanya gambaran gurauan...lol



And since she is a staff of EON Bank...I decided to pakaikan dia t-shirt EBB....ha..ha..ha..penat balik dari kerja tenguk rumah bersepah..siapa yg tak marah ? I'm sure ramai diluar sana yg selau menghadapi situasi yg begini...and most of the time kita hanya menahan kesabaran..dah dinamakan anak2...macam mana berdisiplin sekalipun mesti ada masanya mereka akan "lupa diri" juga...just imagine the life of a housewife..sepanjang masa berada dirumah...basically i'm a housewife too..working from home...and I feel really annoyed when some people merendah2kan seorang housewife...i really hate the remarks that they give back when they know we are housewife.."oh...housewife..." with airmuka yg membayangkan as if housewife tidak mempunyai apa2 kedudukan...compared to the working mums...To all housewife..we should be very proud with ourselves..tugas seagai seorang housewife sgt mulia and bukannya mudah..esp when we are very high educated..and staying in a kampong..ha..ha...ha...talking about myself le tu....Dah jenuh sgt dengar komen org kampung..."Belajar tinggi2 sampai obersea..tapi duduk rumah buat kek...buang duit aje.." Hello.....apa salahnya....belajr tinggi2 tidak semestinya duduk makan gaji...we are different breed of mothers...dunia semakin mencabar...teknologi makin canggih...being a housewife needs ilmu..tak kiralah ilmu yg diperolehi dari sekolah tinggi or sekolah pondok..yg penting ilmu yg boleh digunakan untuk menguruskan rumah tangga and anak2...Being a housewife wktu kerja tiada hadnya....but yg paling menggembirakan when we can prepare evrything for our suami dan anak2....and we get the chance to see our kids grow dgn didikan tangan kita...No offense to all the working mums....I was a working mum before...I just hate it when people always pandang tugas sebagai housewife sebelah mata sahaja...



OOps...dah jauh pula I pergi...Ok...back to the cake...But too bad....I terlupa nak ambil gambar the whole scene..Final scene..amalina was standing in the middle of the messy living room membebel and mencari anak2nya yang sedang kelam kabut bersembunyi dalam ketakutan...Actually kek ni dihantar sewaktu adiknya kahwin..remember the wedding cake "Iron man Vs Iron lady" ? It belongs to Amalina's brother....and kek ini dihantar pd malamnya sempena birthday bash keluarga Amalina...there were 7 birthday cakes and this cake was the winner...sewaktu hantar sahaja dah dikerumuni budak2 and sebab tu lupa nak ambil gambar the whole scene... ;( But..i was so happy coz this cake was a winner among the birthday cakes...






To Amalina...so sorry for keeping this cake too long untuk diupdatekan di blog ini...and thankyou very much for all the fun...And to all housewifey..do be proud that we are housewives....jgn rasa rendah diri...ha..ha...ha...we are the TPM to our house government or should i say..we are the first lady to the house govt PM and being the first lady..most of the time..oops almost all the time we control the pentadbiran....and i'm sure most of the time Mr. PM also will agree to all our decisions...oops this a house government scenario..tidak ada kena mengena dengan mana2 negara...lol...ok with that...take care and salam sayang ;)

Jasamu dikenang...catatan istimewa utk 2 insan istimewa...

Sejarahnya bermula dari seorang guru biasa....

Salam buat semua...kata2 puitis diatas memang menyentuh perasaan and i'm not sure siapa penulisnya..but ia begitu menyentuh perasaan...walau apa sekalipun kita..setinggi mana kita berada..semuanya bermula dari seorang guru biasa...tanpa mereka kita kita iarat layang2 putus tali..terbang tanpa hala tujuan..to all the teachers...semuga Allah memberkati segala usaha mendidik anak bangsa menjadi seorang manusia....




Well...this wedding cake dibuat istimewa untuk sepasang suami isteri yg sungguh istimewa and banyak berjasa to me...Cikgu Haji Zainudin Mah Jilis dan Cikgu Hajah Rohaya Alias...bekas cikgu MRSM Muar dan sekarang mengajar di MRSM Pontian...and they were my two advisors in MRSM Muar dari form 1 hingga form 5..kiranya macam ibu and ayah kami di MRSM..and there was one bad incident which tarnished my name but my dad..Cikgu Zainudin was the one yg membela I coz he knew I didn't commit the offense and till now I really appreciate the trust that he had in me...Banyak and besar sungguh jasa kedua2 mereka didalam proses pembelajaran and pembesaran I...and tidak terbalas budi mereka..so when their eldest daughter kahwin..i offered to do the wedding cake for them as a token of my love and appreciation for this two insan yg sgt istimewa...terima kasih cikgu...and by the way..i had known both of them dari zaman bujang mereka...and when they announced they were getting married we were so happy..so actually i had known both of them way before the pengantin was born..oh dear...i'm so old already...lol


Since both of them are very special to me...I decided to buat something very special and this was the first time I came up with life size flowers spray...and I chose Cathaleya orchid as the main flowers and accompanied with other wild flowers and berries..and leaves and I tried my best to make them as realistic as I could...tak lah susah sgt buat bunga2 ni..yg penting kena canai senipis yg boleh and mengikut bunga yg asal...I decided to choose a white cathaleya with some pinkish lips..and purple wild flowers and some orange berries...supaya complement dgn tema perkahwinan...purple...


And in this spray..i gunakan few techniques which i learned from brother Shahril in making flowers...dusting, airbrushing n lot more..and I also refer to Alan Dunns book...trust me...tak perlukan seorag yg kreatif to come up with this flower..sesiapa sahaja boleh buat..asalkan sabar and yg penting punya keinginan..pls jangan mengalah sebelum mencuba...we won't go far if we keep on saying to ourself or to others that we are not creative..once u said that, it will block evry capability that u hv..so dear friends always mencuba and always believe we can do it...


There was a story behing this my first spray...it took me from morning till afternoon to complete the arrangement.maklumlah orng baru..sterkial2 dibuatnya..sakit juga tangan memintal the wires...I had to make sure the arrangement tersusun cantik and in place..bukan caca merba...Actually i memang tak pernah susun bunga...I don't like to do floral arrangement..rasa mcm tangan kayu aje...ut as i said earlier...do not use it as an alasan..think positive..and alhamdulillah, I was very satisfied with the arrangement...When everything was finished and i was so lega..so I decided to keep it in my cabinet coz nak solat zuhur..letak sahaja.."bump"..i tak perasan ada satu kayu tebal kat tepi cabinet tu..mybe my kids yg letak...and it falled right on my spray....terhenti nafas I for few seconds..rasa nak menangis..coz it hit my main flowers..one of the petal patah...nasib baik bukan the lips...and few others also patah...sedih sgt...tk sempat ambil gamar..bayangkan dah penat buat n patah dalam sekelip mata....so lepas solat zuhur, I buka balik semula spray ni...buat balik petal yg baru and buang bunga yg patah..ganti yg baru..nasib baik ada buat lebih...and redo balik....and this time it took me only about 10 minutes to complete the spray coz maklumlah dah tahu mcm mana kedudukannya...alhamdulillah...but sedihlah juga...


For this special cake, i decided to do some painting at the sites and the colours senanda dgn warna2 spray i...pink, orange, purple and hijau. Semuanya dilukis tangan dgn menggunakan berus number 1 and 3/10..ada dijual dikedai stationery or craftshop. I didn't use any templates..everything was freehand and base on imagination..and i wanted every pieces to be different from each design...mye painting is another thing which we can just let go all the imaginations that we hv...By the way..i gunakan color Wilton..



This was a two tier set..and this time I used different hues of purple for each tier..yg bawah huenya lebih gelap sikit and both of them i airbrushed dgn pearl sheen..as for the borders...i gunakan purple yg lebih gelap n tried to make it as simple as i could coz I wanted the spray to be the main attraction..and kali ni susunan kek pun semuanya kebelakang untuk memberi ruang for the spray...and the spray was assembled at the venue..coz i didn't dare to take the risk of it jatuh during transportation infact all the way to the venue, I pegang spray tu..mcm baby pulak...he..he..he...



So the spray diletakkan di atas kek bila sampai dilokasi..by the way...i did balutkan bawahnya dgn aluminium foil dan juga flower pick yg i buat sendiri...ha..ha..ha..save my money....no need to buy the expensive one..and i owe this to my darling munchkin creativeness..what he did was..he cut the buble tea straw...and bentukkan sperti flower pick...it's important to use a flower pick or aluminium foil bila we want to cucukkan bunga..during my early days..i admitted..i just prick the flowers to the cake..maklumle belajar sendiri..but actually we are not supposed to do like that...so now every of my flowers mesti i gunakan aluminium foil untuk balutan and my homemade flower pick...then baru dicucuk pada kek...and now i always pesan pada my customers..do not eat the flowers..penat buat...and lagi satu ia boleh dijadikan kenangan perkahwinan..if disimpan betul..ia boleh tahan bertahun lamanya...syarat jgn kena air or simpan ditempat lembab..and for my fecorator friends..i find a way to simpan my flowers..walau hujan lebat macam mana pun ia tak akan "layu" or sweating..and no aircond..simpan didalam kabinet or bekas yg tertutup..or dlm kotak...and insyaalah ia akan tahan..




So alhamdulillah...mission accomplished..frankly speaking, berdebar juga buat cake ni..maklumlah, this the first time i menggunakan this kind of design ..takut people won't appreciate it and yg paling mendebarkan I...this cake was for my cikgu...he..he..he...i do not know why...wlaupun usia i dah tua..tp bila dealing with my ex-teachers I masih lagi rasa that i'm still under their pengawasan...to me, teachers always have special place in my life...mcm mana tinggi pun ilmu kita and sekaya mana kita pun..always remember...we owe it to our dearest cikgu2 yg pernah mendidik and membimbing kita...I was so happy to meet my "dad" and "mum" for the first time after 23 years...and alhamdulillah they like the cake..so that means...i passed....ha...ha..ha..mcm exam pulak...





Well before i quit...will like to extend my thank you to both Cikgu Haji Zinuddin and Cikgu Hajah Rohaya...maybe i never say this before to both of u..but terima kasih yg tidak terhingga diatas segala jasa cikgu berdua didalam mendidik dan membimbing saya...menjadikan saya sebagai seorang manusia...terima kasih tidak terhingga..halalkan segala ilmu dan bimbingan yg dierikan...tiada apa yng boleh diberikan bagi membalas budi baik cikgu walaupun segunung intan dan emas permata..hanya doa kepada Allah supaya dipanjangkan umur cikgu berdua, diberi kesihatan yg elok dan semuga sentiasa dirahmati and diberkati Allah..jasa dan budi baik cikgu akan saya bawa sehingga mati..terima kasih cikgu...

The notty boy family...guess who?

Salam to all n a very happy monday..hopefully Allah will make things easy for us. This week gonna be a very busy week for me..two sets of wedding cakes will be waiting during the weekend n also my CNY kek lapis order and the best thing is I'm not feeling well. Hopefully evrything will go smooth for me...I'm looking forward to deco the wedding cake..since both of them will be using new techniques and lifesize sugarpaste flowers...

Guess from the writing, I bet most of u can guess..who is the notty boy...yup he is Sin Chan. These set of cupcakes were requested long time ago...but baru sempat nak downloadkan hari ni...Yup , me also doing cupcakes n birthday cakes...not only wedding cakes...Nowadays ramai yg ingat I hanya buat wedding cake aje...ha..ha..ha.



So here is the set of Sin Chan's family..actually this cartoon is totally a big NO for my small kids..the tv will be automatically off if it's being aired...My personal opinion this cartoon is not suitable for my small kids..due to the languagee and also the attitude of Sin Chan's..well my apologize to all the fan's...It's my personal opinion and belief..I just don't like some of the abusive n vulgar words used by Sin Chan's. Yup, but i still have to fulfill my customer's order and with due respect..I omitted Sin Chan's trademark..so this is the happy set of Sin Chan's family...



Actually,taklah susah sgt buat set ni..cuma cut n paste..and this is what we call 2.5D work...and lecehnya amboi...due to the small cutouts and kena pastikan positionnya betul..to be honest..i prefer to do big cakes compared to small cupcakes...sebab tu cupcake mahal walaupun it's very small...don't be suprised if in KL the price can reach RM25/piece..i'm not kidding...but tenguklah hasil kerjanya...

Silver Garland

salam to all...for the past few days I had been so busy..practising my hands on sugarpaste flowers...and for my wedding cakes next week. It had been a very long time since the last time I updated this bloq with my wedding cakes...as usual excuse org malas....BUSY...terlalu BUSY..ha..ha..ha....so sementara mempunyai kerajinan, I will present to all of u a very special cake commissioned by my special friend who always trust my artwork walaupun masa ni I baru berjinak2 with wedding cake..talking about wedding cakes..nowadays ..ramai yg sudah labelkan I with wedding cakes...and some were suprosed when I told them..i also buat birthday cakes and cupcakes...my artwork is not limited to wedding cakes only....but i'm very honored to be labeled as wedding cake designer..And I'm so happy coz setakat ni tiada repeated desing..every design is specially done for every of my special customers...that's why if u all notice....that's what I have on my business cards.."Your Special Day is Ours too" and I'm really sorry if ada request from customer asking me to reproduce the same cake had been rejected by me...coz as what I promise...the design is highly customised and special for one customer setakat ni..semuga Allah terus memberi ilham utk berkarya...Ha..ha..ha..when ordering cakes from me, please don't expect to see the layout or the sketches of the cakes upfront..To be honest..I always have rough ideas what I want to do in my mind..but when it comes to the actual cake it will be different..coz I believe sketches will kill my creativity...I don't want it to limit the beauty of my wedding cake...

Ok..back to the cake...notice the toppers...aha..what happen to flowers..why abstract flowers...Hmm this cake was done for a groom..so I nak this cake looks "handsome" lol..and I was glad the color chosen was silver n white..so lagi le bertambah "handsome" my cake..Ha..ha..ha...cake pun "handsome"...Yup that's how I treat my cakes..to me my cakes are just not cakes..my cakes have to have characters...ha..ha..ha..macam2 I ni..but that's how I see my cake...and that's the reason why I'm in love with cake decorating..it gives me the chance to showcase my ideas...I just love to be different...Actually it was easy to do this toppers...just guna cutters but so sorry I lupa which brand...me n my bad memory... ;p



Let me start with the top tier ...As I had mentioned earlier...I wanted this cake to be very handsome n masculine...but at the same time I also want the cake to have some loving and romantic aura...so I chose to use my love mould bought from SF..and it was fantastic...and all the designs at the side were done manually with various cutters that i could find from my collection.



Second tier same technique...fondant cutouts too...more masculine look...but romantic... ;) Actually pening juga nak susunkan design yg sesuai..habis tunggang terbalik I susun cutters to get the desired design..


Bottom tier..basically the same too...masculine but romantic...and evertyhing was airbrushed with silver n pearl sheens...Yup, I love my airbrush.



So here is the whole three tier wedding cakes...ha.ha..ha..to me it's very handsome, masculine and romantic...that's how I see the cake...hopefully u guys agree with me..but different people different view...that's what make our life intresting..


So finally the cake was delivered to the venue..and I was so happy to see that my cake matched with the setting..alhamdulillah...Evrything was silver and the table top matching sgt dgn the design on my cake...and the happiest thing I got to meet my dearest friend together with her family members..I really enjoyed being with them and listening to their babblings...Hilang rasa penat when they really love the cake...





Sehingga kita bertemu lagi in my next entry...always believe there's no limit to creativity as long as we believe in ourselves..to be honest...even my darling munchkin selau cakap dgn I..infact up till now..he kept on saying.." Semenjak I kenal u, I never know that u hv this creativity side of yrs....Setau I ..u are so keras tangan"...ha..ha...ha...my munchkin also tak percaya...So i guess I just have to show more wonderful work of art..so that he percaya..ha..ha..ha..Hingaa ketemu lagi salam sayang and always stay psotive..the sky is the limit, insyaAllah...
